Position: Retail & AV Sales Assistant
Location: Tonezone, Matamata
Hours: Full-time (Mon–Fri 8:30am–5:00pm, Sat 10:00am–2:00pm)
About the Role
Tonezone is Matamata’s dedicated music and AV store. We’re looking for a friendly and motivated team member to help with customer service, sales, and general store duties. This is a hands-on role where you’ll be assisting musicians and AV customers, managing stock, and keeping the store running smoothly.
Key Duties
- Serve customers in store – advice, sales, and demonstrations
- Answer phone calls and emails
- Process sales and online orders (pack & ship)
- Maintain stock levels and add products into Inventory
- Keep the store clean and tidy
- Assist with small AV installs (TVs and home audio)
- Manage hire equipment if demand increases
What We’re Looking For
- Friendly and approachable personality
- Interest in music gear, instruments, or home audio
- Organised, reliable, and able to work independently
- Basic computer and POS skills (training provided)
